The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC made an exciting move in their “Partners in Soccer” with the latest connection with ECP Sports. The partnership with ECP Sports College Soccer is another positive step in the player development pathway that CDLFC and the PDL boast, #Path2Pro. The seventh partnership for CDLFC bridges the gap from youth soccer to college soccer.
ECP Sports College Soccer is a college and soccer recruiting
guidance program for aspiring male and female student-athletes. John Beard has provided a service in the Cincinnati and Greater Kentucky areas for numerous years offering personalized experience and dedication to help young athletes find their individual success in college recruiting. Beard worked with Josh Grant (Mason, CUP), a two-time member of CDLFC, who now plays at Xavier. Past student-athletes from ECP Sports have found their academic and athletic success at Wright State, Xavier, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio Wesleyan, Minnesota and Ohio U. to name a few.
John Beard had this to say, "I'm thrilled to partner with the CDLFC organization. We both share a common goal to help talented high school soccer players not only get to the next level, but be successful playing there. This includes both in college and potentially professionally. The talented CDLFC staff and resources will provide great opportunities for some of the players I work with to train and play with the club."
With this partnership, CDLFC and ECP Sports College Soccer now offer a pathway for players to be identified at an early age and continue their careers at the highest levels possible. “Every good club across the world has a vast scouting network,” notes CDLFC Director of Operations, Brandon Ponchak, “John Beard brings a great network and professionalism that will continue to push CDLFC to the next level. I look forward to getting more local players involved in our club and competing at the national level to show how good soccer is in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.”
